FINANCIAL SUPPORT

The development of ATiM would not be possible without The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), The Terry Fox Research Institute (TFRI), Oncopole,  and the Fonds de recherche Santé Québec (FRQS) whose continued support ensures the advancement and quality of a Canadian biobank information management system.

The Canadian Tissue Repository Network (CTRNet), established in 2004, is a non-profit association of leading Canadian biobanks. CTRNet’s primary mandate is to increase the capacity and quality of Canadian tissue biobanks through standardization and process improvement, as well as by overseeing the banking of biological samples. CTRNet’s work enables biobanks within its network to provide the scientific community (around the world, and particularly in Canada) with standardized biological samples, and data of exceptional quality for fundamental and translational research. With the help of the CIHR, TFRI, Oncopole, and the FRQS, ATiM has been employed across Canada.
